The Ravinia Festival is the oldest outdoor music festival in the United States, using a series of outdoor performances and festivals held every summer from June to September. Ravinia takes its title from the ravines located nearby along the coastline of Lake Michigan. Ravinia 3,350-seat open-air, coated Pavilion is host to the yearly residency of the Chicago Symphony Orchestra at the core of the festival's summer season, as well as to a large array of the greatest rock, pop, blues, and jazz, and country musicians now and much more.
